Commercial Manager
About the Role
In this role, you’ll partner with multidisciplinary teams, advisors, and stakeholders to shape and deliver procurement and commercial outcomes from strategy through to execution.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring processes are not only compliant, but also practical, transparent, and aligned to broader program objectives—helping teams navigate complexity with confidence.
What You’ll Do
Procurement & Commercial Leadership
- Guide end‑to‑end procurement activities, from early planning through to contract execution
- Develop clear, well‑structured procurement documentation and commercial strategies
- Offer trusted advice to support balanced, value‑driven decision‑making
Contract Management
- Oversee contracts to ensure clarity, compliance, and effective delivery
- Support negotiations, variations, and resolution of commercial matters
- Maintain strong governance across multiple concurrent activities
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build positive, productive relationships across government, legal, and industry partners
- Create a supportive environment where stakeholders feel heard, informed, and aligned
- Translate complex commercial concepts into clear, actionable insights
Risk & Continuous Improvement
- Identify risks early and support thoughtful, proportionate mitigation approaches
- Contribute to improving systems, processes, and ways of working
- Champion value‑for‑money outcomes and sustainable practices
Capability & Support
- Share knowledge and uplift team capability through mentoring and guidance
- Contribute to a culture of learning, inclusivity, and continuous growth
- Support broader program coordination, reporting, and governance activities
About You
You’re a confident and collaborative professional who enjoys working across teams and bringing people together to solve challenges.
You might bring:
- Experience in procurement and contract management, ideally in government or regulated environments
- A strong understanding of commercial frameworks, compliance, and risk
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence outcomes
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and comfort working in evolving environments
- An interest in contributing to programs with international reach and impact
An NV1 security clearance is required.
