Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Roles (Multiple Vacancies) – Upcoming Opportunities
We are building a high-performing Communication and Stakeholder Engagement function to support a major program of work. As part of this uplift, we are seeking expressions of interest for upcoming opportunities across both leadership and delivery roles.
Available Roles
Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Lead
A leadership role responsible for guiding and setting direction for engagement and communications across the program.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and leadership
- Lead and mentor the delivery team to ensure delivery of high quality outcomes
- Set expectations, manage scope, and ensure alignment
- Operate effectively in a complex Defence environment
Communications Manager
Drive the development and execution of the communications strategy.
- Develop and deliver communications plans
- Produce high-quality content (newsletters, websites, artefacts)
- Ensure clear, consistent messaging
Stakeholder Engagement Manager
Play a key role in maintaining stakeholder relationships across the program.
- Map and engage stakeholders across workstreams
- Support the project management office where subject matter experts are not available
- Track engagement and maintain stakeholder records
- Contribute to forums and stakeholder meetings
Communications Support Officer
Support delivery of communications activities across the program:
- Assist with drafting communications and artefacts
- Support website and newsletter development
- Manage shared inboxes and coordinate inputs
Stakeholder Engagement Support Officer
Provide administrative and delivery support to engagement activities:
- Track stakeholder engagement using Excel logs
- Take minutes and support forums/meetings
- Maintain records and coordinate communications
We are looking for strong candidates who have:
- An Active NV1 security clearance (or higher), or the ability to obtain and maintain one
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in Defence or other complex program or project environments
- Experience working in high-tempo environments with the ability to meet competing and often strict deadlines
- The ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
Education / Qualifications
Relevant qualifications are highly regarded, including:
- Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Media
- Business, Project Management, or related disciplines
- Stakeholder Engagement, Change Management, or Organisational Communication
- Certifications in change management or project delivery (e.g. PROSCI, PRINCE2, Agile) are advantageous
Equivalent practical experience in similar roles, particularly within complex or Government/Defence environments, will also be highly valued.
