Our People Engagement Manager is seeking a senior proactive and/or interactive Recruitment Specialist. The successful person will know what it means to differentiate Projects Assured from the competition and will have highly effective ‘sales’ techniques in gaining the attention of prospective candidates and connecting top talent with Company. Essentially, your ability to build mutually trusted and respected relationships showcasing our brand will be your jam.

Our focus is on finding permanent staff for a variety of technical and non-technical roles. Sometimes they can be quite niche as well. Our recruitment process has multiple stages of which you will be comfortable supporting or leading as needed. You will also be focused on the building the top talent pool for future needs, using a variety of platforms as well as employing your own creative approach. 
Most of all we seek a person with confidence, a can-do attitude and enthusiasm to roll up their sleeves and join our small, highly efficient team on a full-time permanent basis in our Canberra Office.

What you will bring

  • Significant experience recruiting in the Canberra market for consultancy roles e.g. ICT/Infrastructure Project Management, Strategy & Business, Engineering & Architecture and Defence Capability
  • A strong understanding and connection to the Defence sector
  • Exposure to the requirements of Large Federal Government Departments will be viewed favourably;
  • Ability to leverage a variety of communication platforms
  • Ability to balance competing priorities coupled with exceptional organisation skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to achieve common goals, including being able to provide support, show initiative and have excellent attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and
  • High-level computing skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)

Day-to-day tasks look like

  • Interactively connecting and building relationships with top talent;
  • Utilising platforms to source candidates;
  • Screening and evaluating candidates entering the recruitment cycle;
  • Managing the administrative activities of the recruitment cycle;
  • Taking part in interviews and reference checking as needed;
  • Proactively attracting talent and building the talent pool; and
  • Relationship management of candidates, agencies and internal stakeholders.
